Friends and Ambassadors
Laureus Friends & Ambassadors are a select group of both current and retired sportsmen and women who are nationals of a particular country and who have achieved sporting greatness or made significant contributions to the sporting community during their careers. They are recognised as role models and icons of success within their local region and have volunteered their services to support the work of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation in their own country.
Laureus Friends & Ambassadors is different to the Laureus World Sports Academy in that it is open to both active as well as retired sporting individuals. Each country may have its own team of Laureus Friends & Ambassadors, which will have a maximum of 20 members.
