This page (together with the documents referred to on it) sets out the terms ("Terms") on which we agree to let you use our website www.laureus.com ("our site"). Please read these Terms carefully. By using our site, you agree that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree to abide by the Terms, you must not use our site.
When using our site, you will be subject to any additional posted guidelines or rules including (but not limited to), any forum rules and guidance, announcements, stickies or any further guidance posted on our site from time to time by a moderator relating to a specific activity or feature (together the "Guidelines"). All such Guidelines are incorporated by reference into these Terms.

3 About our Site
3.2 We reserve the right at any time and without notice to withdraw, amend or suspend any part or the whole of our site and any content therein and to restrict access to some or all of our site to any user, whether registered with us or not, at our discretion.
3.3 We will try to ensure that our site is available 24 hours a day, however, we will not be liable if our site is unavailable for any reason.
3.4 The views, comments and opinions expressed by authors on our site do not represent our views, and we accept no liability in respect of any such views comments or opinions.
3.5 You agree that we can disclose whatever information about you and your identity as is necessary to allow any third party who claims that your material infringes any of the third party's intellectual property rights to contact or trace you.
3.6 You agree that you will only upload materials or take part in any forums or discussions boards or chat rooms on our site according to the rules set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.

You agree that you will treat this information as confidential and you will not disclose it to anyone else. We reserve the right to withdraw any user identification code, password or other security information if we suspect that you have not complied with this paragraph 5.

6.1 You may link our home page as long as you do this fairly and legally and you do not jeopardise or damage our reputation.

7 Our liablity
7.1 The material displayed on our site is provided on an "as is" basis, without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy despite our best efforts. To the extent permitted by law, we, other members of our group of companies and third parties connected to us hereby expressly exclude:
7.1.1 All conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity.
7.1.2 Any liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any user in connection with our site or in connection with the use, inability to use, or results of the use of our site, any websites linked to it and any materials posted on it, including, without limitation any liability for:
a) loss of income or revenue;
b) loss of business;
c) loss of profits or contracts;
d) loss of anticipated savings;
e) loss of data;
f) loss of goodwill;
g) wasted management or office time; and
h) any other loss or damage of any kind, however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable.

8 Intellectual property rights
8.1 Except as specified in our Acceptable Use Policy, we are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site, and in the material published on it, including but not limited to photographs and graphical images). Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.
8.2 Subject to paragraph 8.3 and paragraph 8.4, certain parts of our site may be printed or downloaded for certain purposes, namely:
8.2.1 for private study or reference;
8.2.2 for non-published research;
8.2.3 to help third parties engaged by us in fulfilling our requirements.
8.3 You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our site. You may keep only one temporary copy in a single computer's memory or any part of our site. 8.7 You agree and warrant that any material that you upload to our site (including comments, documents, photographs, images permitted links), is not confidential, is not proprietary (or that you are the proprietor) and, such that any consent or licence is needed, you grant us an irrevocable, perpetual royalty free worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use, copy, distribute and disclose any such material for any purpose whatsoever. You also agree to fully indemnify us and keep us indemnified for any loss or damage that we suffer as a result of any material that you upload to this site.
9 Information about you and your visits to our site

16.3 The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
18 Jurisdiction and governing law
The English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising from, or related to, a visit to our site, our Terms or this Acceptable Use Policy although we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these conditions in your country of residence or any other relevant country, and English law will be the governing law.
