Project overview

Despite being a global capital, London is home to some of the most disadvantaged boroughs in the country. Active Communities and the Urban Stars programme in London actively work across the 10 most dangerous boroughs in the city using sport and cultural activity as a pathway to promote community cohesion and tackle youth crime, engage young people in social action and volunteering in their own communities.

Active Communities also supports young people into further education, training and employment. Since 2007, ACN and Laureus have been working together to support disadvantaged youth across the UK.
