Africa Yoga Project (AYP)

Africa Yoga Project (AYP) offers marginalised African youth a 3-year curriculum for job- and life-skills that empowers them to earn income with their new skills, develop markets and serve their communities.

Youth in Africa are amongst the poorest in the world, with the continent continuing to suffer the highest youth working poverty rates globally at almost 70%. With a population increase from 1.2 billion to 2.2 billion from now to 2050 and 60% of the population under the age of 24, it is imperative that young people are prepared with skills that can enable them to earn a decent income.

Africa Yoga Project (AYP) offers marginalised African youth a three year curriculum for job and life skills that empowers them to earn income, develop the market and serve their communities. Youth in the programme commit themselves to hold five cost-free outreach classes each week in their own communities whilst learning skills in an academic programme that will prepare them for future employment in the wellbeing value chain.
