The Sport for Good Award, for tremendous contribution to sport or to society through sport, was awarded to Special Olympics Founder, Eunice Kennedy Shriver.
Prince Albert of Monaco and World Sports Academy Chairman, Edwin Moses, presented the Laureus to Mrs Kennedy Shriver in recognition of her work to establish the premier global sporting event for athletes with intellectual and physical challenges. The Special Olympics programme provides access to sport for tens of thousands of people all over the world.
