Maurice Greene had an incredible 1999, walking away with three gold medals from the World Championships in the 100m, 200m and 4 x 100m relay. He also won gold in the 60m at the World Indoor Championships.
If this wasn't enough, he also smashed the 100m world record time by the largest margin (half a second) since electronic timing began and set a 60m world record twice, becoming the first man to hold 100m and 60m world records.
