Although being written off as a boxer in decline, at the age of 37, Roy Jones Jr came back to the ring and beat Prince Badi Ajamua in a fight for the North American Boxing Organisation light-heavyweight title.
It was Jones’ first win in over two years. During the fight, Jones showed shades of his past greatness, and sparked thoughts that he may go back to the super middleweight division to fight Joe Calzaghe or Glen Johnson in a rematch.
Jones record currently stands at 50 wins, 4 losses, with 38 wins by knockout.  Jones was Ring Magazine’s Fighter of the Year in 1994 and was voted the ‘Fighter of the Decade’ in 1999 by the Boxing Writers Association of America.
In 1999 he unified the WBC, WBA, and IBF light heavyweight titles by beating Reggie Johnson in Mississippi.  A famous win over John Ruiz at heavyweight made Jones the first middleweight champ to hold a piece of the heavyweight crown since Bob Fitzsimmons in 1897.  Between 1999 and 2003 Jones was considered by many as the best pound for pound fighter in the world, particularly after his win over Johnson.
