At just 18, he won two of the classic events on the Red Bull X-Fighters Tour in 2010 in Moscow and London and seems set for a remarkable career.

Levi grew up on two wheels and has spent his life following in the footsteps of his father Dave Sherwood, a professional speedway racer. Initially he started in moto-cross, but it did not take him long to realise that he loved jumping and learning new tricks so moved to freestyle.

In Moscow's Red Square in June, where 250 lorry-loads of dirt transformed the historic cobblestones into an FMX course, he fought off strong opposition from world champion Nate Adams for a famous victory in front of thousands of Russian fans.

Six weeks later in the grounds of London's Battersea Power Station, he kept a cool head in front of 30,000 fans as he threw down huge trick after huge trick with his inimitable style to beat Nate Adams and Dany Torres into second and third places.

In his very first X Games appearance in July, Levi took the silver medal in the freestyle moto-cross behind Travis Pastrana.
