World No 1 Yani Tseng is the dominant player in women’s golf today. In 2011, at just 22, she won two Major Championships and headed the LPGA money list by almost US$1½ million from her nearest rival. She was LPGA Player of the Year for the second straight time.
She is the youngest player, male or female, to win five Major Championships. In 2011, her Major victories were the Wegmans LPGA Championship and the Ricoh British Open.
On the LPGA Tour, she also won the State Farm Classic, the Walmart Arkansas Championship and the Hana Bank Championship. In the Far East and Australasia, she won the Taifong Open, the Handa Australian Open, the ANZ Masters, the Honda LPGA Championship and the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship.
