Nyjah Huston, at 19, won the final event of the X-Games in Austin with a flourish, taking the men’s skateboard Street gold medal with 95.00 points, the highest score ever in an X Games Street final. It was his sixth career gold, making him the most successful X-Games Street skater ever.
His tricks included a switch 50-50 down the eight-stair handrail, a noseblunt slide on the Jersey barrier and a Cab 270 backside lipslide down the handrail. In an amazing year, he completed a clean sweep, starting with the Tampa Pro in March and four events on the SLS Nike SB World Tour.
