At the age of 38, despite having to compete with a broken arm which he sustained in practice, Bob Burnquist won the X-Games gold medal in Skateboard Big Air, in Austin, for the eighth time. His score of 93.66, which he posted on the second of his five runs, proved decisive. Then, on the final day of the event, partnering Morgan Wade, he won the gold medal in the first Big Air Doubles on the MegaRamp. It was his 29thcareer X-Games medal, which includes 14 gold medals. He has appeared in every X-Games, dating back to San Diego in 1997. He is a Laureus Ambassador.
