Lindsey Vonn
After a ligament tear kept her out of the Winter Olympics, she brilliantly returned to competition in 2015, winning her seventh Downhill World Cup and her fifth Super G title. During the year she set a new world record for most women’s World Cup wins with 71 (as at December 12), passing Austria’s Annemarie Moser-Pröll. And she joined Swedish legend Ingemar Stenmark as the only skiers to reach 19 World Cup titles, across all disciplines and overall. She also achieved her 113th podium finish, which tied Moser-Pröll’s women’s record.
