Chicago Cubs won their first World Series for 108 years – ending one of the longest droughts in sport. Manager Joe Maddon's team beat Cleveland Indians 4-3 in the best of seven series.
They are also the first team to come back from a 3-1 deficit and win Games 6 and 7 on the road since 1979. Cubs leftfielder Ben Zobrist was named Most Valuable Player. A lot of the credit goes to President Theo Epstein who came from Boston Red Sox in 2011 and masterminded the success. It took him five seasons, three managers and dozens of moves to get the job done.
