Bene Mayr looks back on a highly successful career as a freestyle skier. Highlights include an invitation to the "X Games" in Aspen, numerous top 10 results in international competitions and a highlight with the qualification for the Olympic Games in Sochi 2014, where he was the only male freeskier athlete of the German Olympic Team. More recently, he followed the developement of a freeskier by switching from freeski to freeride and participated in the Freeride World Tour.
For me, it is a great opportunity to pass on what I have learned through sport and what sport has given me to the children who are not privileged. With the programmes at Laureus Sport for Good, we have the chance to get active with the children and show them what sport can give them and how it can help them in life.
