Estimates say that China has over 85 million people living with a disability. For decades, unemployment remains a daunting problem for China's disabled population. 

Special Olympics works closely with its accredited programmes in East Asia to offer more than 1.2 million athletes with intellectual disabilities, providing them integration opportunities in society through sport.
