HIGH FIVE

HIGH FIVE is a Munich-based project that is committed to the promotion of socially-disadvantaged and orphaned children as well as children and adolescents from migrant backgrounds.

The programme also supports the integration of unaccompanied refugee minors into society. HIGH FIVE uses weekly workshops in action sports such as skateboarding, BMX and snowboarding to build confidence, increase personal development, build important social skills and support the development of personal and professional networks, which serve to prevent adolescents from slipping into criminal structures.

Participants can engage in HIGH FIVE until the age of 19, after which they are offered the chance to become a HIGH FIVE coach, passing their experience on to younger kids who need stable environments and relatable role models. Furthermore, the project offers various creative courses like photography to present the participants with potential future employment opportunities and help them develop different skills.
