United Boxing

In some of Berlin's neighbourhoods, a lack of perspective and the feeling of "not belonging to the majority society" are recurring themes that encourage people to slip into structures of crime and violence. This perceived lack of perspective is the result of multi-layered challenges, such as poor health, lack of education, experience of violence, poverty or lack of integration.

United Boxing aims to prevent children and young people from slipping into crime and to ensure better integration. Through the medium of boxing, values such as fairness, respect, tolerance and conflict resolution are taught. Violence prevention and conflict skills are focal points of the daily training. Young people are enabled to take responsibility for themselves and others, thereby becoming role models in their respective environments. In addition to sports, the program offers support at school and helps in the search for internships and apprenticeships.
