Proyecto Cantera

Working with over 15 different children's institutions, deaf schools, safe houses and other vulnerable childrens groups across the entirety of Mexico City.

Working with over 15 different children's institutions, deaf schools, safe houses and other vulnerable childrens groups across the entirety of Mexico City, Proyecto Cantera use the power of Mexico’s most popular sport, soccer, to teach positive life values and create healthy behavior changes, both on and off the soccer pitch.

Attending more than 600 children weekly across the city, they use a series of green cards on the pitch to reward positive and helpful behaviors that students show. Cantera also work closely with several deaf children and schools, and incorporate the teaching of sign language in all their activities, including at a number of large tournaments they host each year.
