Situated in one of the most marginalized, violent and resource scarce neighborhoods of Mexico City, TRASO are using the power of boxing to combat deep social issues that are rooted in the social fabric of the Tacubaya neighborhood.

Situated in one of the most marginalized, violent and resource scarce neighborhoods of Mexico City, TRASO are using the power of boxing to combat deep social issues that are rooted in the social fabric of the Tacubaya neighborhood.

Levels of gambling, drug addiction, alcohol abuse and poverty are high in the area, and children young people have little access to positive and safe extra curricula activities. Working with children aged 5-12yrs old, TRASO provides twice weekly boxing sessions followed by professionally led group therapy, as well as psychological and education workshops. Parents must also attend fortnightly workshops hosted by TRASO which cover topics of violence, education, sexual health, abuse and other social issues affect their children and family.
