Located on a rubbish dump and within one of the 50 most violent neighborhoods in Mexico, UTOPIA is working with more than 120 5-16 year olds in four key areas of combat sports, education, culture and recreation.
UTOPIA not only offer twice weekly Lima Lama classes, but children take part in basic Mathematics and Spanish classes, contributing to both their cognitive and educational development. They also offer students the opportunity to compete in national and international tournaments, allowing many students to leave the rubbish dump for the first time and experience the outside world.
