Sport dans la Ville

Sport dans la Ville uses sports activities to develop values of self-confidence, teamwork, dedication, leadership and hard work, leading young people on the path towards brighter futures.

Sport dans la Ville is a non-profit organization that serves underserved children and young people through sports and job-readiness training. Operating in 36 urban, low-income neighborhoods across France, the programme uses sports activities to develop the values of self-confidence, teamwork, dedication, leadership and hard work, leading young people on the path towards brighter futures.

Laureus is partnering Sport dans la Ville on its ‘L dans La Ville’ programme, which targets girls ages 12 to 16 living in what is called a “Quartier Politique de la Ville”, or low-income neighborhoods. Here, 1 in 4 women live in poverty, and there is a high training and education deficit among young women.
Through sports and dance, mentoring, cultural discovery, and professional development, girls have opportunities to uncover their potential in an environment dedicated just to them. Corporate visits, professional mentoring and skills training lead them on a path toward workforce success.
