In Rome, a high percentage of immigrant and lower-income Italian families live in extremely poor conditions. The Sport For Good Rome project offers youth from those families access to sporting activities in safe and positive environments, while simultaneously creating a Laureus community of organisations including schools, parishes, cooperatives and sport clubs focused on helping youth to improve their future life skills, reduce school dropout rates and improve community cohesion.
The programme creates a safe space for youth to interact with each other and offers them opportunities to develop in a more cohesive society.
