Social Action Project

The social action project is using sport to support 540 10-14 year olds from disadvantaged areas of Nottingham to build life skills, create and deliver social action projects and support their transition from primary to secondary school.

The coalition is made up of 4 partners including University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University, Nottingham College and Epic Partners  working in a collaborative manner to achieve wider community impact in Nottingham. The project volunteers go out into schools in underprivileged areas of the city, mentoring and using sport and physical activity.
Young people, both school-aged pupils and Volunteer Leaders are provided with an opportunity to use their voices and skills whilst creating social action projects that bring about change in the community.
