Track Academy

Founded by former GB athlete Connie Henry and based in the heart of Brent in Willesden, Track Academy helps young people realise they are more than the circumstances into which they are born.

The London Poverty Profile lists the London borough of Brent as one of the most disadvantaged boroughs in the city. It has a very diverse population with over 145 languages being spoken in schools. Twenty-four percent of children are in low-income families and 25% of children in ‘troubled families’ are between the ages of 15 and 21.

Founded by former GB athlete Connie Henry and based in the heart of Brent in Willesden, Track Academy helps young people realise they are more than the circumstances into which they are born. The programme offers sports activities, mentoring, and study support to develop young people into positive community members and to show how sport can be used to motivate young minds and transform lives.

Approximately 90% of the youngsters that have participated in the Track Academy have gone on to university.
