America SCORES New York

America SCORES New York was founded in 2001 to address the absence of high-quality after-school programs for public schools in under-resourced New York City communities.

Its core program called Literacy in Action provides 750 students in grades kindergarten through 12 with daily soccer, poetry, and service-learning workshops, complemented by weekly soccer games, summer camp, and six special events throughout the year.
