Chicago Run programs began in schools with the goal of impacting the entire school health environment in a holistic and collaborative manner by engaging students, families, teachers, and school staff. From elementary school-day programs, Chicago Run’s programs have now expanded to serve the whole continuum of childhood, from early childhood through teenagers, while staying true to the goals of improving health and wellness, focusing on sports-based youth development, bridging cultural and racial divides, and encouraging a lifetime of healthy habits.
