Youth Mentoring Connection is dedicated to the idea that young people should be truly seen, not just watched.

​Youth Mentoring Connection pairs participants with caring adult mentors and places them in structured groups that provide the resources needed to reach their full potentials. Using the Gift Centered Approach, mentors regard youth with unconditional positivity and ready them to realize their uniqueness and importance in society. Participants use a Zulu call (“Sawubona”, meaning “I/We see you”) and response (“Yebo Sawubona”, meaning “I see you seeing me”) to instill the importance of recognizing each person’s place in the community.
