Laureus launches new project in Italy
It was memorable day for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation in Italy.
Last week, Laureus Ambassadors Fabrizio Macchi and Alessandro Fabian, cycling and triathlon superstars respectively, were at the Morosini Manara Comprehensive School in Milan to help launch the new ‘Laureus School’ project.
To encourage and inspire the young people present that day, Laureus sports psychologists, teachers, coaches and the Laureus Ambassadors talked about the power of sport. Macchi and Fabian explained that the harder you work, the more rewards you will get, or to put it as Fabrizio did, "There are times when the climb ends."
The Laureus Foundation Onlus Italy is active in Milan, Rome and Naples with 5 projects and supports more than 1,500 children. It provides financial and practical support to more than projects which use the power of sport to provide coaching and education to young people in some of the most challenging environments around the country.
