IMPACT REPORT

Sport for Good proves that sport works in tackling the most pressing issues young people face.

For over 25 years, we have invested in community-based programmes and coaches who implement the work day in and day out. This is all possible through the growing global network of partners and supporters who share our belief in the transformative power of sport.

Together, we are making a lasting impact by creating spaces where young people use sport to overcome violence, discrimination and inequality. When their lives are changed, their communities are transformed.

Our Impact

In 2025 alone, we saw a 20 per cent increase in participants (324,602) engaging in Laureus-supported programmes and initiatives. Behind that figure are thousands of young people building confidence, finding belonging and accessing the benefits of sport. Notably, 58 per cent of these participants were girls and women – a remarkable achievement considering the global average hovers between 30-40 per cent.

Through incredible partnerships, we helped train twice as many coaches (over 21,000) across a diverse array of topics, from helping girls build body confidence to supporting young people's mental health. When coaches are empowered, they can have a profound impact on a young person's life.

All of this offers a glimpse into what happens when sport is intentionally designed to drive social change.
