#SportforGood Saturday in Switzerland
Last weekend, Laureus Ambassadors Ottmar Hitzfeld, Alain Sutter and Ariella Käslin, joined by other athletes, took time off to visit the Ochsner Sport project in Zurich and inspire local youngsters through exciting multi-sport activities.
Football stars Ottmar Hitzfeld and Alain Sutter led a football discussion, before taking part in an autograph and selfie session followed by an exciting fussball match. Former world-class gymnast Ariella Käslin, who now focuses on her Ironman career and is a big fan of rowing, gave the young people some tips for correctly handling the rowing boat. "It is important for the entire body is involved. It has to be a flowing movement of the arms, torso and legs "she told enthusiastic kids.
Acrobatic skiing star Conny Kissling was also present and showed some of the kids special balancing exercises all while the activities were animated by professional singer and beatboxer Knackeboul. He said: "Yesterday I had a concert in Bern, was a little tired here, but animating the athletes and kids has been really fun."
The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation Switzerland, together with Ochsner Sport, brings sport at the centre of all activities and annually supports more than 10,000 children in Switzerland who are socially, economically or physically disadvantaged.
