Tortour 2016 raises CHF100,000 for Laureus Switzerland
The famous Tortour has proved to be yet another success this year by raising CHF100,000 for Laureus Sport for Good Switzerland!
The Tortour is the first non-stop-bike-race in Switzerland lasting several days. The event combines the best ideas of all existing long distance races. It is designed for professionals and amateurs, teams and solo bikers. The race is the ultimate challenge for racers and the supporting team.
The Tortour starts in Schaffhausen and goes over 1000 km (and about 13000 meters of altitude difference!) around Switzerland. The finish line is at Schaffhausen again. Solo Riders and Teams will need for the race between 32 and 48 hours.
This year, the Laureus teams managed to raise CHF100,000 Swiss Francs for Laureus Sport for Good Switzerland, which uses sport to address social challenges through a programme of sport-related community development initiatives, using sport as a tool for social change. The team was led by Luka Müller, Alex Sochi, Martin Elmiger, Daniel Riediker, Philippe Jodin and Marko Baloh. Congratulations and thank you!
