Acer

Acer works with over 500 children and young people aged 8 to 24, offering weekly rugby and games sessions with educational and employment workshops.

It is estimated that over 60% of people in the neighborhood of El Dorado, Diadema, Sao Paulo, live on less than the minimum wage to support themselves.

Diadema had the second highest murder rate of any city in Brazil during the early 1990’s and 2000’s.

In addition to existing partnerships with the British Council and the Brazilian Rugby Federation, Acer will partner with Laureus for support for the A Bridge To The Future sport programme. This programme works with over 500 children and young people ages 8 to 24 in the local area, offering weekly rugby and games sessions with educational and employment workshops available to all. The aims of the project are to permanently increase life skills, widen support networks and deliver job and work preparation to the youth of Sao Paulo.
