Gol de Letra

Gol de Letra works to contribute to the cultural and educational development of children and young people in Rio de Janeiro.

Brasil entered the 21st century with an illiteracy rate of 16% despite massive efforts to educate the population. About 25% of the poorest children do not attend school. Many children in the favelas do not go to school at all.

Gol de Letra has been working for over 13 years to contribute to the cultural and educational development of children and young people in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, so that they can act with autonomy in transforming their realities.

Reaching 1,300 youths each year, Gol de Letra is well-rounded and works to support young people into further education and ultimately employment.
