Laureus Street Soccer

Laureus Street Soccer by is an intercultural street soccer league that takes place regularly at 80 locations throughout Switzerland.

Children and youths ages 10 to 21 can come to the games with their own team or put a team together on-site. The focus falls on providing easy access to soccer. Origin and level of playing skill are not important, as enjoyment and fair play take centre stage; therefore, a fair play score is given to every game.

The tournaments provide a good framework for other learning fields such as conflict management and moral courage. During the additional coaching and training courses offered in cooperation with the partner BSC Young Boys, participants learn to strengthen team cohesion, solve conflicts and independently organise and manage tournaments.

The tournament is implemented by the Child Care and Youth Empowerment association, which Laureus has been supporting since 2008. The Foundation has been funding the project since 2013.
