Brazil Men's Football Team
Under coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, Brazil won a record fourth Confederations Cup, beating Spain 3-0 in the final, ending the World Cup holders' unbeaten run of 29 matches in competitive football. Neymar was named player of the tournament and received the Golden Ball, Fred won the Silver Shoe with five goals and goalkeeper Júlio César won the Golden Glove Award. Neymar and captain Thiago Silva were nominated for the FIFA Player of the Year Award and Scolari for Coach of the Year.
