Elias

Elhardt

Elias Elhardt is considered an exceptional talent in the German snowboard scene and he is known as one of the best freeride snowboarders in the world.

Elhardt, who grew up in Oberstaufen in the Alps, enjoyed boarding on the slopes, half pipes and in untouched nature from an early age. Elias often rides with snowboard legend Travis Rice, in 2020 Travis and Elias published a snowboard movie together called "Dark Matter". Although he did not belong to any federation and therefore did not take part in official world championships or Olympic Games, Elias Elhardt made a name for himself on the scene, also through his numerous film productions. His achievements include: Winner Junior World Championships 2005; Winner Big Air Stuttgart 2011; 3rd place "Air & Style" Bejing 2010.

Growing up, sport was everything to me, and for good reason too. Sport has really helped me through a lot of things and phases in life. And from different perspectives: sport has been fun, of course, but it has also helped me overcome real problems and made me stronger. I found a community and gained self-confidence. In a way, I've found a home through the sports I've done, especially snowboarding.   The positive impact of this unique global foundation that specifically supports youth programmes related to sport is huge and it's great to be a part of it. We as athletes and ambassadors have the platform to communicate about this wonderful work in the programmes to create awareness and also help fund the programmes, whether it's skateboarding in Afghanistan, surfing in South Africa or biking in Munich.
