Everyone at Laureus would like to send a special congratualtions to our Ambassador, the horse-racing legend, A.P. McCoy on his incredible 4,000th racing win.
A.P. recorded his first win over 20 years ago in 1992. And last Thursday, he won his 4,000th in riding Mountain Tunes to victory at Towcester.
Tony’s 4000th win is just the latest in a remarkable line of accomplishments achieved through his career having won almost every major race possible. These include the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle, Queen Mother Champion Chase, King George VI Chase and the 2010 Grand National.
On becoming a Laureus Ambassador back in 2010, he said: “There is nothing more important for a successful sportsman than to be able to give something back to society and to people who are less fortunate. I have no plans at the moment to stop racing so I still lead a busy schedule, but I will be doing all I can to support the work of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation."
We look forward to race win number 5,000.
