We are delighted to announce, Austria's most successful Olympic athlete Felix Gottwald has been named a Laureus Ambassador .
To mark the day, Felix, who ended his active career in Nordic Combined, said: “ Success is more when it is shared . This is the most important lesson that I have to thanks to professional sports. The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation lives by this principle by allowing socially disadvantaged children and young people access to sport … I am glad that I can contribute ."
Felix, Austria's most successful Olympian ( 3 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze ) and three-time world champion, was presented with the Ambassador Certificate from Germany 's former national goalkeeper and fellow Laureus Ambassador Jens Lehmann, who welcomed him into the Laureus family.
"I am delighted that such a successful sports personality as Felix Gottwald Laureus is now part of our family. Felix has achieved much in his career but is still down to earth. He wants to support children and young people through sport … for that he is at the right place with Laureus." explains Jens Lehmann, who has worked as a Laureus Ambassador himself since June 2012.
