Stars swing in to support Laureus Golf Day in Argentina

The Fifth annual Laureus Golf Day, presented by Mercedes-Benz, was held yesterday at the Nordelta Golf Club in Buenos Aires.
With more than 90 players participating and spearheaded by Hugo Porta, rugby legend and President of Laureus Argentina, the Laureus Golf Day hosted names from around the sporting including professional golfers Eduardo Romero and Vicente Fernandez. Also present were Laureus Ambassadors Ivan de Pineda (pictured above with Hugo Porta), Juan de la Cruz and Nicolás Fernandez Miranda, who are always happy to volunteer their time for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
The winning prize was awarded to the team of María Elena Storani, Mariana Grande, Dolores Navarro and Fernando Navarro. Cocktails and drinks were served to close a very lively the prize - giving ceremony. Moreover, event held an auction which featuredmany prizes including an FC Barcelona jersey signed by Lionel Messi and an Ingenieur Automatic timepiece from IWC Schaffhausen.
“On behalf of Laureus we would like to thank everyone involved for giving their trust to sport as a tool for social change to help at-risk youth in Argentina and around the world.” said Hugo Porta.
The funds raised will help Laureus Argentina’s work in further developing action plans aimed toward better social inclusion and bring, through sport, better opportunities of education and personal development for at-risk young people.
