Laureus talk to the Mercedes AMG F1 team

Laureus joined the Mercedes-AMG F1 team yesterday at the launch of the team’s brand new 2013 car. We chatted with the drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg and Team Principal Ross Brawn to get their thoughts on the new season.

Lewis on his thoughts for 2013: "The target is always to win. It's a dream to be team-mates with Nico again.  We drove in Karting together as teenagers."

Lewis on the new car after his first drive: "The car looks good. I’m happy, learning about the new car, it's a bit like starting again. Lots of swtiches and buttons I haven't been used to before!  I’ve got to learn a lot in a short period of time. I'll maximise everything I can with the car.  Even now I came out and made some notes.  There's so much to think about."

Nico on his new team mate:  "It’s great to have Lewis as a Team-Mate, we had some jokes in Karting as teenagers, but we'd better concentrate on performance on the track now."

Nico on his new car: "I've just driven the new Mercedes-AMG Petronas; it was great. I’m looking forward to test day to put it through its paces," added Nico at Jerez.

Ross Brawn on his new driver Lewis Hamilton: “Lewis is a really exciting addition to the team. I’ve known him socially, but now we’re getting to know him in the car and he’s helping us develop in new and exciting ways.”
