Laureus Youth Empowerment through Sport (YES), is a 10-month dynamic and holistic programme which actively invests in matriculated youth (aged 18- 25) by empowering them to go into their communities and become ambassadors of sport and changemakers. Laureus YES empower young leaders on the programme with the necessary qualities and characteristics to improve job-readiness and prepare young leaders to create a brighter and sustainable future by harnessing the power of sport to foster personal development, job-readiness, leadership, and resilience. Through the programme we aim to create positive and relatable role models in local communities and so strengthening the Sport for Development sector. Young people on the Laureus YES Programme embark on a journey of self-discovery, growth, and empowerment, unlocking their full potential to access meaningful employment in pursuit of creating a brighter future for themselves and inspiring those around them.
