England became the first northern hemisphere country to win the Rugby World Cup following their thrilling win in Australia in November. England won in dramatic style with a drop goal from Jonny Wilkinson with just 26 seconds to go in extra time in the final against Australia in Sydney.
After the victory, England were named International Rugby Board Team of the Year, their coach Clive Woodward was named Coach of the Year and Jonny Wilkinson was named Player of the Year.
