Won the inaugural Slopestyle men’s gold medal at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, performing a trick never tried before which he called the ‘Holy Crail’ and which amazed the crowd. The 20-year-old jetted off the first jump and did 3½ rotations while flipping twice, reaching behind his back and pulling on his board, while his other hand grabbed the nose of the board.
He followed this with a ‘Back 1620 Japan Air’, helicoptering through 4½ rotations, while grabbing his board and flexing it behind his back.
