After months of training, fundraising and a few very tired legs, the PruProtect Chance to Ride with Michael Vaughan is finally setting off!
Michael, the Ashes winning cricket captain and Laureus Ambassador, is setting off on a 12 day, 470 mile cycle ride across England and Wales, stopping in on the England v Australia one day series as he does so.
Michael will be joined by a host of celebrity sport friends on the ride such as Victoria Pendleton, Tim Henman and Jamie Redknapp.
But that’s not to forget the wonderful group of charity bike ride fundraisers who are joining too. All of them have done an incredible job training and securing sponsorship for the ride.
It really has made all the difference.
That’s because the ride is all in support for charitable causes. And we are delighted to be joint charity beneficiaries of the ride along with Chance to Shine.
So if you want to donate to the effort, please head here to Michael Vaughan’s official fundraising page.
Every penny you spare will go straight to the Chance to Shine intiative and Laureus charity projects dedicated to using sport for development of young people in need.
Be sure to follow Laureus on Twitter and Facebook to keep up to date with the riders as they complete the ride!
