Laureus Statement

Sean Fitzpatrick, Chairman of the Laureus World Sports Academy, said:

"Laureus was founded with a fundamental belief in sport’s ability to tackle discrimination, and opposes all forms of racism. In light of widely reported comments, we have informed Jens Lehmann that he has been indefinitely suspended from his role as a Laureus Ambassador with immediate effect."
