Andy Murray
Andy Murray ended 2016 taking over from Novak Djokovic as world No.1 after his most successful year ever. He won his second Wimbledon title in July and followed it with his second straight Olympic gold medal in Rio the following month. He also reached the finals of the Australian Open and the French Open, and the quarter-finals of the US Open. He secured the No.1 position by beating Djokovic in the ATP Finals in London in November.
