Eliud Kipchoge produced one of the most amazing sporting performances in the history of athletics in 2018.  He ran the fastest time ever in a marathon in Berlin in September with a time of 2 hours 1 min 39 seconds – breaking the previous record by a massive 1 min 18 seconds.  This was the biggest improvement on a world record time in 51 years by any marathon athlete. A truly historic and exceptional performance.
