Produced a brilliant performance in Budapest to retain her world 200 metres title in 21.41 seconds, the second fastest time ever run, behind only Florence Griffith-Joyner's 21.34 world record in 1988. Shericka also won silver medals in the 100 metres and 4 x 100 metres relay. She is the first athlete in World Championship history to win medals in the 100, 200 and 400 metres, and the 4x100 and 4x400 metres relays.
