In early 2025, 18-year-old Luke Littler became the youngest winner of the PDC World Darts Championship, beating Michael van Gerwen 7-3, whilst hitting the most 180 maximums (76) at the Championship. Records continued to fall for Littler who, in July, became the fastest darts player in history to complete the ‘Triple Crown’ (World Championship, Premier League, World Matchplay), with an 18-3 World Matchplay triumph over James Wade. He finished 2025 as the youngest ever World No.1.
