The 25-year-old Italian won four golds at the World Para Swimming Championships in Singapore, taking his career total to an incredible 23 world titles. He also holds four Paralympic golds.
In Singapore, the Italian S9 category swimmer, won the 100m butterfly and the 50m, 100m and 400m freestyle. Born with a congenital leg defect, during his childhood he went through 13 operations, eventually beginning Para Swimming at the age of 15.
